Shavvonne Walls, LMFT
As a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as a professional clinical counselor, I work with individuals and couples that have gone through traumatic life experiences. Though my clients come from a variety of backgrounds and psychological issues, I specialize in trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, dissociative disorders, anxiety, and depression.
I have an MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as professional clinical counseling. I have a second MS in Counseling Ministry. I am primarily trained in Applied Clinical Psychology, the subject of my doctorate that I am currently pursuing.
I’m proficient in NARM, EMDR, mindfulness techniques, and somatic therapy. During training, I worked for outpatient substance abuse facilities, corporate sector, providing couples, individual and group therapy. I also worked for crisis units providing crisis stabilization.
As your therapist, my goal is to act as your coach, guide, and facilitator during your journey through self-discovery and toward health. Together, we will work through your deepest issues, discover new things about yourself, and cultivate your inner strengths and personal greatness.
